HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
This year, I've been obsessed with Nutcrackers. This is the last scene of my favorite Christmas ballet.
Drawn on post-it. Colored quickly in Photoshop.

This is Halloween
This year I dressed up as Mystique Sonia from the animated show "Hero 108" that I am currently working on.
(Mystique Sonia image is property of Moonscoop.)
Here is some concept art:
Yaksha (hat):
I used materials I got from Target (total $5) and buttons from Joann's for the eyes and nostrils. I used black felt for the teeth.
Dress:
I bought the dress from Forever 21 for about $11. I cut the seams on the sides and hammered some eyelets in to tie red ribbon through because Sonia's dress flares out.
Tutu:
I bough crinoline fabric from Joann's for about $0.89/yard. I got 5 yards, cut it down to about 24"x2" and tied it onto a red ribbon, a couple inches longer than my waist size. Repeated the tying until the end of the knot.
I also went as "She" from Machete. (I'm so bad at making decisions lately so I end up going with both!)
Here's some concept art:
I used a black printer cartridge as my huge gun! Love it! Thank you IT man at work! :)

Something Disturbing I Saw Today
... on my way home from trader joe's.
i had to do a double take. i couldn't stop looking, but i was repulsed. why would you be a fat woman riding a bicycle with hardly any clothes on? and why - especially if you're fat AND riding a bike AND wearing hardly any clothes - would you NOT WEAR UNDERWEAR!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
there are some weird people in this weho...
ps: quick 2 minute sketch. i know my perspective on the bike is way off... but i was focused on the woman riding it... and her large ass CRACK!!!!! ugh........... and then i started wondering if her front was revealed too... because of how low her top was... well, on the bright side, she covered her big belly.

Origami Japanese Woman
Now that I have my Cintiq, creating is SOOO much quicker and easier!
I'm on a role so far this week - one drawing a week! Hooray! Let's see how long I can keep at it!
This is a study I did with Origami/Chiyogami paper. I scanned the paper in and then put them on a mask. The one on the right was my original quick drawing of the Japanese woman on Illustrator. Then I copied and pasted the line work, though I did have to adjust a little more to allow the mask feature.
I love the patterns and want to make a whole series of these. So stay tuned for more in this style!
